Benefits CRMC provides physician residents with competitive compensation and benefits. Please find below details of the 2026-2027 compensation and benefits provided to residents in CRMC program.

Insurance
Health insurance including major medical, dental, life, personal accident, long-term disability and discount vision services. Medical malpractice insurance also is provided.
Food Allowance
Residents will be provided food for conferences as needed and will be given monthly on-call food allowance based upon the call services assigned.
Retirement Plan
401(k) Retirement Plan: Residents are eligible to participate in CRMC’s 401(k) plan on their date of hire, with both traditional and Roth contribution options available. The organization may provide discretionary employer matching and profit-sharing contributions. Employees are always fully vested in their own contributions

Professional Meetings
Residents are encouraged to attend professional meetings. At the discretion of the program director time away and financial support may be provided to present at a regional or national meeting.
Parking
Residents are provided with access to free parking in lots on hospital premises. VPN accounts for home access to our hospital’s medical records
Resident Lounge
A resident lounge designed for relaxation and socialization is in the GME area. Residents are provided with individual lockers to store their belongings.
Call Rooms Call rooms are provided in the main graduate medical education (GME) area.
Wellbeing Resources
Residents have access to a robust set of wellbeing resources. CRMC provides a confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Residents and their families have access to CRMC’s confidential Employee Assistance Program through Unum at no cost. The EAP provides 24/7 support for mental health and wellness needs, including stress management, anxiety and depression, relationship concerns, grief and loss, legal and financial consultations, and family care resources. The program also includes up to three face-to-face counseling sessions per year and unlimited access to phone-based support and referrals Finally, the program incorporates retreats and wellness activities to help residents maintain work-life balance and prevent burnout.
How to Apply
We invite you to apply to our program via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Our program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and adheres to its policies and guidelines. Our ERAS number is 1404800021. Our NRMP number is 2508140C0.

Once your application is complete, we will contact you via Thalamus if we wish to invite you for an interview. Our interview season is October through January. All interviews for the 2026-2027 season will be hybrid.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants will be selected based on preparedness, ability and interest in the program without regard to race, creed, gender or sexual preference. We review applications holistically where aptitude, academic credentials, personal characteristics, professional aspirations and ability to communicate will be strongly considered in the selection process.
Minimum Requirements to be Considered for Interview
Medical school graduation within six (6) years prior to application to Carrollton Regional Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program. All applicants need to have passed Step 1 and Step 2 on the first attempt.
Visa Sponsorships
Carrollton Regional Medical Center welcomes applications from qualified international medical graduates. For candidates requiring work authorization, the program sponsors J-1 visas through ECFMG. Applicants must meet all ECFMG certification and visa eligibility requirements prior to the start of training. The program does not sponsor H-1B visas.
Appointment Requirements
- After matching, applicants must:
- Undergo a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Submit to a health screening and provide necessary immunization documentation
- Submit proof of successful medical school graduation
- Meet eligibility requirements to obtain a State of Texas training license
- Supply proof of ECFMG certification (international medical graduates only)
- Provide updated USMLE/COMLEX results
- Attend orientation
