The breast imaging services at Carrollton Regional Medical Center – Carrollton Breast Imaging Centers are fully accredited in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. Our Carrollton location is now offering 3-D mammography.
Carrollton Regional Medical Center Women's Imaging Centers are equipped with advanced technology for accurate diagnosis, including mammography units. All locations also offer Computer–Aided Detection (CAD). This system provides a second review of screening mammograms for areas that may be of concern.

Digital mammography detects breast changes in women who have no breast symptoms.
Diagnostic mammography is used when a women and her physician detect breast changes such as lumps, pain, nipple discharge, thickening or unusual changes in the size or shape of her breasts. Diagnostic mammography is also used when an abnormality in the breast has been identified during screening mammography.
Monthly Breast self-exams (BSEs) are recommended for women age 20 and over. There are benefits and limitations, and it is recommended you report any changes in how your breasts look or feel to a health expert right away.
